About The Smart Map GBG

The Smart Map wants to make it easier for citizens and visitors to Gothenburg to live more sustainable, by encouraging community, new meetings and access over ownership. We do this by showing initiatives and networks in the city. On the map you can, among other things, find bike kitchens, swap groups, clothing swap days, free shops and digital platforms.

This is not the Yellow Pages or a list over businesses, this is about people and communities that share. What we show on the map is decided by our criterias that have been agreed between the civic association Collaborative Economy Gothenburg and the City of Gothenburg, Consumer and Citizen Services Administration. The Smart Map has been created as part of an innovative civil-public partnership between these two parts. The selection of initiatives takes place in consultation between the project owners.

Smart Map version 3.0 was launched in the spring of 2020 and has been funded by the City of Gothenburg and the national program Sharing Cities Sweden. SCS is part of the strategic innovation program Viable Cities, jointly funded by Vinnova, the Swedish Energy Agency (Energimyndigheten) and FORMAS.
