Annedalshuset
Urban community center for sustainability, history, and community
Linné, Gothenburg
Annedalshuset in Gothenburg is a vibrant community center and urban village hall where history, sustainability, and sharing come together. The building houses Annedal's apartment museum, which shows what homes looked like in the 1920s–40s, as well as open rooms for contemporary activities.
Here you can enjoy exhibitions, lectures, a repair workshop for clothes and gadgets, and annual events such as Annedalsdagen, Kulturnatta, and Tillsammansfestivalen. Through voluntary engagement and collaboration, a place is created where resources and knowledge are shared, and where people in the area can meet across generations.
Annedalshuset is an example of how old buildings can be given new life through local community and circular initiatives, and is run by the Annedalspojkar & flickor association.
