At Fixoteket you can repair, borrow, exchange and make something new from something old. The Fixotekets in Hammarkullen, Rannebergen and Biskopsgården are run by Bostadsbolaget in collaboration with the Social Administration Nordost and the Social Administration Hisingen.
You can borrow tools to repair and rebuild your things on site at Fixoteket, such as clothes, furniture, home electronics and bicycles. You can also borrow certain tools and machines to take home with you, such as:
- Hammer
- Hammer drill
- Sander
- Stapler
- Screw driver
- Impact drill
- Heat Gun
- Spirit level
- Staple gun
- Sack cart
- Ladder
You cannot book tools or machines in advance and you can only borrow one tool at a time. In Fixoteket's exchange corner you can hand in intact and clean clothes, household items, home electronics, smaller furniture and decorative items, toys and sports equipment that you no longer need or want. You are also allowed to take a maximum of five items with you from the exchange corner. By borrowing tools and repairing and exchanging our things, we contribute together to a better environment in Gothenburg.
