Majorna, Gothenburg

Sweden’s first toy library is located in Majorna.

Together with children and parents, the toy library is developed in accordance with the wishes and needs, from the range to the opening hours. They are mainly aimed at children between 0 and 7 years old, but all ages are of course welcome. Here you can borrow toys, children's and baby items and more, they have over 900 items in their range, everything from baby carriers, travel cots to bicycles. On their website you can see their entire range, reserve, re-borrow and order home delivery. The toy library also arranges several events for children and it is possible to visit during opening hours even if you are not a member and play on site.At the toy library you can become a member with time or money, you either pay a fee per month or year or you pay by volunteering. After you have become a member, you can borrow toys for your children.The toy library is run as a non-profit association and in collaboration with the association Majornas Samverkansförening, Hyresgästföreningen Västra Göteborg, Ekologisk stadsdel Majorna 2.0, Göteborgs Stad and Familjebostäder. Financial support from Allmänna Arvsfonden and Sharing Cities Sweden, via the testbed Sharing City Göteborg.In addition to the premises in Majorna, they also have a branch in Biskopsgården and a collaboration with a sharing cabinet in Eriksbo, Piffl. The opening hours we show are the opening hours in Majorna.
