The opera card

Discover great drama and music, amazing dance, strong emotions and memories for life. All you need is a library card.

The Gothenburg Opera gives performances of opera, modern dance, musicals and concerts.

Here’s how you do it.

• The opera card can be borrowed at Lundby bibliotek, Kulturhuset Bergsjön, Opaltorgets bibliotek, Stadsbiblioteket vid Götaplatsen och på Stadsbiblioteket 300 m² i Brunnsparken.
• You need a library card to borrow the Opera Card.
• It is free of charge.
• Take your Opera Card to the Gothenburg Opera ticket service and exchange it for 2 tickets to one of the performances that week included in the Opera Card.
• Attend the performance and discover the power of the performing arts!

Good to know.

The Gothenburg Opera chooses which performances can be borrowed. It is not possible to borrow tickets for sold-out performances.

You can borrow the Opera Card once a year.

The Opera Card cannot be reserved in advance. You must visit one of the libraries in Lundby, Opaltorgets bibliotek, Bergsjön, 300 m² or Stadsbiblioteket. In the libraries’ Gotlib catalog you can see if there is a card available.

The loan period is five days and cannot be extended.
