Medialab

Medialab at Malmö City Library is a creative space for anyone who wants to work with images, photography, film, sound, and print. Medialab is located on the second floor of Slottet and offers access to professional equipment and software for creative work.

You can use computers with programs such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro to create and edit material. In addition, equipment such as drawing tablets, microphones, gimbals, and podcast kits are available to borrow. You can also print large-format images (up to A1), scan images and photo negatives, and create your own pins and fridge magnets.

Medialab also offers access to online courses in photography, video editing, and graphic design through Moderskeppet, so you can develop your skills.

To use computers and equipment, you need a library card. Printouts are paid for at the reception desk, and if you want to print in large format, you need to make a reservation and receive guidance.
